Workshop held on Sunday 6 May 2018:  Trevor Newman - Portraiture

A journey of exploration in the use of oils whilst developing an understanding of the human head.  During this workshop, you will use supplied images to focus on fundamental proportions and the structure of the head.  This will be combined with the principles of good observation which are the prerequisites for producing convincing portraits.

This course will cater for all skill levels and Trevor’s teaching approach aligns with this.

Sunday 8 July 2018 (10am to 4pm)
Graham Smith - Acrylics for All

Workshop Outline

In this workshop you will produce an acrylic painting on canvas.

The goal is to complete a finished painting in one day, so it is recommended that the canvas you use is not very large.

If, however, you are confident and work fast, you may wish to bring along two relatively small canvases to work on.  The tutor will supply hair dryers to enable you to dry the work and therefore enable you work quickly.

  • Large container for water
  • A rag for cleaning brushes
  • More

See the workshop flyer for the full materials list and more information about the workshop and tutor.
