This course is suitable for beginners /experienced.
This course will be adapted to all skill levels.
Course Outline: In
this short course you will explore how to compose and paint, on canvas, an
abstract artwork based on your own mark-making exercises. We will be painting on a variety of 2D
materials such as corrugated cardboard, paper bags, discarded envelopes etc,
the ordinary things of everyday.
What can come from contemplation of an assemblage of such things is an appreciation of the beauty found in the tension between imperfection and simplicity.
Acrylic paint on canvas to be used for initial ground work followed by either oils or acrylic to complete the exercise.
