Term M6  Rosemary Gartelmann
Mixed media and watercolour


Dates (2017):  October 9, 16, 23, 30.  November 6 & 13.

Cost:  $90 for 6 weeks.

This course will take a contemporary approach to watercolour and water-based painting (gouache and/or acrylics can also be used).

Design and composition will be discussed in relation to a variety of subject matter; from still life to working with photos.  Students will move from realism to a more abstract approach and extend themselves by introducing other media.

Painting 'Ritter's Critters' in watercolour

Dates:  August 14, 21, 28. September 4, 11 & 18.  Cost:  $90 for 6 weeks.

In this course you will be shown how to paint engaging paintings of animals and birds, with plenty of vibrancy and character.  Bring along your watercolour paints and brushes, watercolour paper, water containers and your pencils and you can get started!

Dates: March 27 April 3, 10, 24.  May 1 & 8
Cost:  $90 for 6 weeks.

The Magic of Watercolour

Dates:  May 15, 22, 29. June 5 and 12 
(5 weeks). No classes on 19th & 26th June.

Term M4 Philip David

Portraiture in acrylic/oil with model

Dates:  July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 & August 7.
Cost:  $90 for 6 weeks.

Philip will introduce a classic 1920s or 1930s modernist portrait by a prominent artist, to be studied, analysed and copied in a portrait exercise by all class members. 

This series of classes is aimed at building confidence at portraying character in the human face.   It promises to be fun and rewarding!!
