Textiles to me represent colour, texture, fibres, creativity.  Providing the ability to create from the beginning, choosing warp and weft to weave or a medium to explore an inspiration.

Working in a diversity of media allows an overlap, e.g. weaving, handmade paper, spinning, felting, printing, writing, offering challenges in the thought process and exploration.

Designs often relate to the wonderful textures of nature or what’s happening in my life.  Always using the positives within a challenging life style to administer art and create artworks.  All is useful.  I enjoy creating for an exhibition, an excuse to explore and set the adrenalin running.

As a teacher and encourager of arts and crafts, the creative aspects are passed on.  Learning continues through teaching and experimenting.  Knowledge is to be built on and shared.
